Troubleshooting when Kamo cannot detect tracking activity

In extremely rare situations, Kamo may fail to detect and block tracking attempts. If you experience this issue, we recommend fully uninstalling and then reinstalling Kamo by following the steps in this article.

NOTE: before following the instructions below, ensure that you have the latest version of your browser installed:

Reinstall Kamo

1. Download the Kamo setup file from here:

2. Right-click on the Kamo setup file > click 'Run as Administrator'


3. If prompted for permission by the User Account Control dialog, click Yes.

4. Click 'Uninstall'


5. Click 'Close'


6. Click 'Cancel'


7. Before reinstalling Kamo, follow the steps below to ensure that all program components are removed from your PC:

  • Check that hidden files and folders are visible on your PC. For instructions, refer to the following article:
  • Open File Explorer and enter C:\Program Files (x86)\ into the address bar.


  • If you see a Kamo folder in this location, right-click on it > click 'Delete'
  • Enter %localappdata% into the File Explorer address bar.


  • If you see a Kamo folder in this location, right-click on it > click 'Delete'

8. Restart your PC
