This page explains where you enter your license key into the new CCleaner for Mac app and what to do if you experience an error with your license key.
Where do I enter my license key? (CCleaner for Mac):
You can register your license into CCleaner for Mac using the following steps:
- Open CCleaner > click CCleaner in the Mac OS menu bar > Insert Activation Code (alternatively, you can press Cmd ⌘ + K to bring up the menu)
- Enter code and click Activate
If you’ve already registered your license in the CCleaner app but need to activate a new replacement license key, please follow the same method above.
If you get an error saying that your license key is not valid:
In general, registration problems happen because of a small typing error when entering the key. It’s usually easier to use copy and paste (Cmd⌘-C, and Cmd⌘-V on a Mac) to enter the details from your purchase confirmation email to help avoid typing errors.
If you do type your information by hand, it’s worth noting:
- Our keys don't contain the letter i, the number 1 (one), the letter o, or the number 0 (zero)
You may also have problems registering if:
- Your CCleaner license has expired
Suppose that you lose your CCleaner for Mac registration information (for the new version) or need to check the status of your licenses, expiry dates or get new download links to install our app on other computers. If any of this happens, you can solve the issue quickly via our license lookup system.
