Which type of deployment should you use for your endpoints in CCleaner Network?

There are 2 methods of deployment that may be used.

Remote Installation:

Deployment is carried out from within the Management Console.

Requirements for Remote Installation

  • User Account Control (UAC) must be disabled on the target Endpoint(s)
  • Any firewall (if installed) must not restrict access between the endpoint with the Management Service and the endpoint you're attempting to install to
  • The administration credentials must be known

Local Installation:

If Remote Installation is not an option for you, or you have an existing automated software deployment mechanism, you can create a custom MSI installer from within the Management Console that, when run on the target Endpoint, will create a unique pairing between the Agent and the Management Service.

You can install the Endpoint Agent by running the custom installer using your standard deployment method, i.e.: scripting, Group Policy, or via Remote Desktop.
