How do I resolve the error code '-1073741502' when installing Kamo?

This error code appears if Kamo can’t install the Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition due to an outdated version of Microsoft Windows.

Why did I receive the error message 'The activation code could not be found'?

This error message shows if you enter an activation code that we can’t find in our database. Make sure there are no typos before you enter the activation code. You can also copy your activation code directly from your order confirmation email and paste it into the application. 

 

What should I do if Kamo disappears from my PC after reboot?

This issue might occur if Kamo is not installed properly with elevated system privileges. For example, if you run the setup file from a user account without administrative privileges. To resolve this issue:

  • Uninstall Kamo from your PC
  • Right-click the downloaded setup file and select ‘Run As Administrator’ from the context menu
  • Proceed with the installation of Kamo
  • Restart your PC

Why did I receive an error message telling me that Kamo is running?

This error message can appear on Windows PCs when a program is not closed correctly and is running in the background. To resolve this issue:
