What changes have you made to ensure compliance with GDPR?

Your privacy is very important to us and we commit to ensuring the continued confidentiality and security of all data we collect and process. We also require that any and all parties which have access to our data adhere to strict security standards and best industry practices. This protects your privacy, whether you are an EU resident or not.

As part of this commitment, we’ve updated our Privacy Policy and added a new ‘Privacy’ tab into our software. If you're a CCleaner user, in this tab you can adjust your privacy settings.

A summary of data collected and how it is dealt with:

  • Free users

We do not collect any personal data about free users of our software; free users are anonymous to us.

  • Professional users

Some personal data is required to be collected in order to buy our software. This data is collected and held by our cart provider. If you have a GDPR request, please contact our cart provider directly: cs@cleverbridge.com

  • All users of our software

GDPR covers the collection of personally identifiable data. We do not collect personally identifiable data in any of our products, so we have no data of this kind of share with third parties.

You might notice that the ‘Allow usage data to be shared with 3rd parties for analytics box’ has recently disappeared. As GDPR covers personal data, and we do not collect any personal data to share with any parties, we have removed this box to avoid confusion.

  • Email marketing subscribers

Our email subscription points were GDPR compliant before it came into force. Therefore, no changes were made.
