How can I restore my subscription for CCleaner Pro for Android?

This page explains how to do this while providing specific instructions and steps.

Please note: We've written the steps in this article for the "baseline" versions of Android like those used in Google's own-branded smartphones, so you may need to contact the manufacturer of your smartphone or mobile device if the information here doesn't match what you're able to see on your Android device.

1. Follow the steps below to restore your purchase:

Clear Google Play Store data by following these steps:

  1. Go to SettingsApps on your device. (In Android 10, go to SettingsStorage Other Apps)
  2. Tap the Google Play Store app
  3. Tap Clear Data, Clear Storage, or StorageClear Data and confirm clearing data in the pop-up message. (Please note, this resets your app's settings)
  4. Tap the Google Play Store icon on the home screen of your device and accept Terms of Service
  5. Open CCleaner and tap Upgrade on the main screen
  6. Tap the overflow menu (three dots) icon in the top-right corner and select Restore License

2. Your CCleaner Pro subscription should be restored now

If clearing Google Play Store data doesn't resolve your issue, follow these steps to connect to the correct Google account and restore your purchase:

  1. Uninstall CCleaner from your device.
  2. Tap the Google Play Store icon on the home screen of your device to open the app.
  3. Tap the menu icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
  4. If the account that you are currently logged into was not used during your purchase, follow one of these instructions:
  5. If you do not remember which account you used for your purchase, go to the Google Play Store. menu and select AccountSubscription to see a list of subscriptions assigned to the currently selected Google Account.
    • Click your current account name or email address to see a full list of accounts. Then tap the Google Account that you used during your purchase.
    • If you do not see the correct account listed, follow the steps in the section Switch between accountsSwitch accounts on the Google Play website on a mobile device in this Google article: Add & use accounts on your device.
  6. Install and open CCleaner, and then accept the End User License Agreement (EULA). Your license should be activated automatically.
  7. If your license was not activated automatically, tap Upgrade on the main screen.
  8. Tap the overflow menu (three dots) icon in the top-right corner and select Restore Purchase.

CCleaner should be able to detect your subscription now.

3. Further troubleshooting steps:

  • Find the email from Google about your purchase of CCleaner. Check that the email address it was sent to matches the primary account in Google Play Store.
  • If you purchased CCleaner Pro for Android from our website, instead, please register by following the steps in this article.
  • Changing the time in the device’s Settings may cause a subscription to show as invalid. Move time back to the automatic setting and tap Restore License.
