What is an endpoint?
One license is required for each host (endpoint), whether it's virtual or real.
An endpoint is any Windows PC that can have a CCleaner Network Agent installed on it. This includes desktops, virtual machines, notebooks, servers, and so on.
Do I need to buy licenses for all the endpoints in my network?
No. You only need to buy licenses for endpoints that you want to install the Agent on. The minimum number of licenses is 5 and each Endpoint Agent will only run on one computer.
For example, if you have 500 endpoints and 25 servers, you would require a 525 licenses. You can also purchase less if you do not want to run CCleaner Network on all the endpoints on your network. This is slightly different if you are using Terminal Services.
What do I need to know for licensing Terminal Service systems?
For a Terminal Server, you must have a license for each Terminal Service account.
Are Endpoint Agent licenses transferable?
The Agent license is not designed to be moved between endpoints once installed. However, we do allow for replacement hardware, so should you need to remove an endpoint from your network, you can simply delete the old hardware from your license list and add the replacement hardware.
Can I clean all the profiles on the endpoint?
Yes. You can clean all or only some profiles on the endpoint.
Is there a difference in licensing between CCleaner Network Edition and CCleaner Network Professional?
No. The licensing works the same way for both, but a license for one does not work with the other.
Can I add licenses to an existing installation?
Yes. If you need to purchase additional licenses, please go through the channels used to purchase the software and we can easily add extra licenses.
Licensing Multiple Networks
If you are a large enterprise, a Managed Service Provider or similar and require multiple networks to be managed, you need to purchase separate licenses for each network that you support. This is because each network requires its own Management Service and is licensed separately.
You cannot transfer endpoint licenses from one network to another.
