The old CCleaner for Mac v1 series has been retired with the launch of CCleaner for Mac v2 and will receive no further updates.
To ensure access to the latest features and for compatibility with the latest hardware and OS updates (including MacOS 11 BigSur, MacOS 12 Monterey and MacOS13 Ventura) we recommend upgrading to the new and greatly improved CCleaner for Mac v2.
CCleaner Professional for Mac v1 End Of Sale: 21 October 2021
The final release of CCleaner for Mac using the old "Version 1" technology stack was CCleaner for Mac 1.18.30 on 5 October 2020.
As of 21st October 2021, with the launch of CCleaner for Mac 2.1, the old Version 1.x technology of CCleaner Professional for Mac was retired from sale, with all new sales being on CCleaner Professional for Mac 2.x. All new development, feature releases, and future OS and hardware compatibility updates will be on the CCleaner for Mac 2.x technology stack.
Customers with active maintenance agreements (ie: who had not yet reached their licence expiry date) were migrated to CCleaner Professional for Mac 2.1 and have been receiving regular automatic updates for subsequent CCleaner for Mac 2.x releases (https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner-mac/version-history). Customers with expired maintenance agreements will be contacted by email reminding them of their support status and with an offer to purchase a new subscription to CCleaner Professional for Mac 2.x at a reduced first-year price, unless they have previously opted out of receiving communications regarding their licence status.
CCleaner Professional for Mac v1 End-of-Life: 31 October 2022
Licences for CCleaner Professional for Mac 1.x with expired maintenance agreements will start to be deactivated as of this End-of-Life (EoL) date, starting with older licences and customers who have have previously indicated that they are no longer using CCleaner for Mac.
Customers who still have a valid email address on file, and who have not previously opted out of communications from us regarding the status of their licence may receive communications advising them of the End-of-Life of CCleaner for Mac 1.x, reminding them of their expired support status and with offers to upgrade to CCleaner Professional for Mac 2.x. Customers who cannot receive email communications from us, or whose old licences have already been deactivated can acquire a new CCleaner Professional for Mac 2.x licence from the CCleaner website here: https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner-mac
This process is expected to complete within 4 months, with all licences not covered by an active maintenance agreement deactivated by early March 2023.
CCleaner Professional Plus Bundle Customers
Support for CCleaner Professional for Mac 1.x as part of some older CCleaner Professional Plus and CCleaner Professional Premium bundles has also been retired, and has been replaced by CCleaner Professional for Mac 2.x for new subscriptions.
Customers with an expired subscription or maintenance agreement will no longer be able to use CCleaner Professional for Mac without purchasing either a new CCleaner Professional for Mac 2.x licence subscription, or a multi-device subscription for CCleaner Professional Plus or CCleaner Professional Premium (which include coverage for Windows, Mac and Android devices).
